Who We Are

Gathering Point a 501 c (3) non for profit organization was established in 1998 as a mentoring organization for at risk youth. In time Gathering Point has evolved to become Gathering Point Community Council, an organization dedicated to restoring values in at risk communities through the philosophy of for the people, by the people.
Community Watch has enhanced public safety by creating community-based partnerships to fight crime and improve the quality of Community life. In a continuing effort to promote professionalism in law enforcement and to build positive police/community relations, the Gathering Point Community Council, is producing and distributing Community Watch Toolkits to law communities across the nation.
This training is designed to build the capacity of Community Watch groups assigned to work with community members by providing specific instruction on each of the courses presented in the Community Watch Toolkit.
This course will increase participants’ skill levels by teaching them the proper utilization of the tools and the most effective methods of maximizing the course’s value for themselves and their communities.
